Common questions
Does Aced it? use AI to make my cards?
No. You write and check every card. When you scan a page, Aced it? reads the text on your phone and shows it to you before anything is saved. For sentences it can suggest which word to blank out, picked from your own words — it never writes, rewrites, or invents anything. You can turn suggestions off in Settings.
I deleted the app and lost my cards. Can I get them back?
If iCloud sync was on, reinstall Aced it?, turn sync on again in Settings, and your subjects, decks and cards come back from your own iCloud account. If sync was off, your cards were stored only on that device, and they go with the app — but an iCloud or Mac backup of your iPhone includes them, so restoring that backup brings them back.
I got a new phone. How do I move my cards?
Either turn on iCloud sync in Settings on both phones, or restore your new iPhone from an iCloud or Mac backup of your old one. Both work; sync also keeps an iPad up to date.
What does Aced it? Plus cost, and is it a subscription?
Aced it? Plus is a single $5.99 purchase — never a subscription, no trial, nothing expires. Without it you can make ten new cards a day, and reviewing, browsing, editing, organising and exporting are unlimited forever. Plus removes the daily limit for good.
Do I need to pay again on a new phone or iPad?
No. Plus is tied to your Apple ID. Download Aced it? on the new device and tap "Restore purchase" in Settings. Plus also works with Family Sharing.
Can I get my cards out of Aced it?
Yes. Export your cards to CSV, or to Anki's own format, from inside the app. Export is never behind Plus.
Does Aced it? work without internet?
Yes, completely. Capturing, reviewing and everything else work with no connection. iCloud sync, if you turn it on, catches up the next time you are online.
